According to the art. 35 of the Italian DPR 28 December 2000, n. 445, all paper, magnetic or electronic documents, containing a photograph of the holder, issued by an Italian Public Administration or of other States allowing the personal identification of its holder, are equivalent to an Identity Card.
Therefore, the accepted documents to validate the PEC service are:
1. ID card
2. Passport
3. Driver’s license
4. Individual identification card issued by state government as long as it has a photo and stamp or other equivalent signature (except those issued by the Italian ASL)
